Curvy? Wear the right clothes to look good
There are too many of us who are not happy with our body — we are either too fat or too thin.
What most don't know is that one can easily camouflage one's love handles and unsightly bulges by wearing the right kind of clothes. Styling can make a whole lot of difference to how your body looks.
Opt for soft fabrics
Choosing the right fabric for your outfits can make a difference. If you are plump and curvy, you should wear fabrics that are soft and fall well — giving you a slimmer silhouette. Stay away from shiny and thick fabrics.
Buy the right trousers
Avoid buying pants that are tapering. Straight trousers can look good as they will not accentuate your flab.
Skirt the issue
Avoid wearing short frilly skirts. Instead, opt for high-waisted, knee-length or a little lower, pencil skirts with kitten heels.
Stay away from frills
Detailing on clothes like ruffles can backfire badly if you are looking at hiding your curves. These actually add a lot of bulk to your figure and make you look more well-endowed than you are.
Avoid loose fits
If you thought it is okay to hide yourself under extra-large, ill-fitting shirts just because you are fat, think again. Shirts and tops that are figure-hugging look great on women who are curvy. In fact, a great fit can actually make you look attractive.
Opt for vertical stripes
This creates the illusion of length — so you look taller and slimmer. Horizontal stripes are a big no-no.
