Kim K embracing baby body
Kim Kardashian will prove everyone wrong by snapping back into shape after she gives birth, according to her friend.
Kim Kardashian is embracing her baby body this time around.
The 34-year-old star is expecting her second child with her husband Kanye West, with the little boy a brother for her two-year-old daughter North. Kim has confirmed she is four months into the pregnancy, with her friend Mayte Garcia explaining that this time around she isn't as concerned about her appearance.
"I think she's going to embrace the changes to her body and also watch what she eats. Kim knows she can lose it again [afterwards]," Mayte told British magazine Heat. "She's determined to lose it again, to prove everybody wrong."
Kim put on a lot of weight when she was expecting North and also suffered from water retention, which caused her to bloat. She was uncomfortable for much of her pregnancy and her maternity outfits were regularly skewered by the press, something she found hard.
So far she isn't showing much of a bump with baby number two, and has continued to rock the slim-fitting pieces she's known for. Her pal-of-ten-years Mayte claims exercising isn't at the forefront of Kim's mind at the moment, which is a big switch for the reality TV queen.
"We used to work out before we both had children and she'd text me at night, like, 'OK, [let's work out] tomorrow, 5am... I have a crazy day,'" she laughed. "She's very, very into her physique. But, of course, now she's a mother... you have to make time for it, as you want to just enjoy living rather than being a slave to working out."
And contrary to reports, Mayte insists getting back into the gym wasn't top of Kim's priority list after she welcomed North either.
"When Kim first had North, she stopped everything. She stayed in her pyjamas for weeks, taking care of the baby," she said.
Kim has already vowed to be healthier this time around, previously admitting that during her first pregnancy she started every day with a doughnut.
